Reverse Reverb

Post by Hobartlnbsf »

Hello,
Does anyone have any advice or where to start when it comes to putting together a reverse reverb?
I'm new to FXcore and just looking for some guidance.
Thanks!

There is a reverse reverb for the FV-1 at https://mstratman.github.io/fv1-programs/ should be able to port it to FXCore. No idea what it sounds like but it is a starting point.

I haven't listened to that one, but that is a good approach.

The trick is picking all the tap times and gains so that it sounds the way you want. I would recommend writing some simple code to calculate the tap times and gains for you.

Generally you want the gains to increase exponentially, and you want the taps to become closer together as you read further into the delay. You can see that in the example. If you want it to sound like the famous SPX-90 reverse, then use a lot less taps.
