Codec alternatives?

I just solder CS4220 to adapter board (smd to tht) and connected it via wires on prototype board with FXCore devboard. I pulled off J305 and J306 jumpers and connected here SDI/SDO lines of CS4220 and of course rest of the clocks and supply.
Nevermind, I found a reason. Yesterday I was doing something wrong, but now I know it was inputs overflow as Frank suggested.

I can confirm that the AK4558EN is working great with the FXCORE.
I am using it in parallel mode so no I2C code needed to get it to work
